Saudi Energy Ministry uses AI to predict energy disruptions
EnergySaudi ArabiaMinistry of Energy monitoring / predictive analytics
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy feeds live fuel-station and value-chain data into a monitoring centre, using AI and simulations to anticipate disruptions and support faster decisions, a senior official told Arab News at the WPC Energy Congress.
How to do it
- Stream operational data (e.g. fuel stations) into a central monitoring centre.
- Build predictive models and incident simulations across the energy value chain.
- Use outputs for faster operational and strategic decisions under time pressure.
- Pair with gov/tech partners (e.g. HUMAIN, SDAIA) for safe AI integration and localization.
